Q: Why would I choose the Bamboo Boutique Hotel & Spa instead of a major resort?
A: The Bamboo offers a much more intimate experience. No other Waikiki resort offers such a lush private jungle oasis. The Bamboo is the only one in Waikiki! From the warm, inviting boutique lobby to the tropical pool area with its dense foliage, lava rock waterfall and authentic Tiki Hut to the unique upscale character of our luxury "Suites," you will not find a more unique Hawaiian accommodation. The ambiance and decor of the Bamboo makes the Bamboo feel like your own private sanctuary in the heart of the hustle and bustle of Waikiki.

Q: Do I need a car while staying at the Bamboo?
A: No, unless you want to tour the island. Everything from the beach, the shops, restaurants, Waikiki shows, the "Sunset on the Beach" movies, the zoo, aquarium and all other Waikiki performances and activities are within easy walking distance. If you would like a car for a just a day, there are several convenient car rental companies on the block including one at the Hyatt right around the corner.

Q: Is there parking available if I do have a car?
A: Yes, we do have parking directly at the Bamboo for an added charge. Parking on the street sometimes presents a challenge in finding a spot.

Q: If I don't use a car, what is the best way to and from the airport?
A: "Reliable" is the company that offers door to door on demand service for just $9 per person. Taxis can run nearly $40.

Q: Is there a grocery store nearby so we don't have to eat out all the time?
A: Yes, again the Bamboo is perfectly located with a grocery store called "Food Pantry" just a block away. It is one of the few in Waikiki. Also, our condo "Suites" are furnished with the items you need to cook right in your own "Suite." We also have a BBQ in the pool area that is available for poolside dining.

Q: Is this a hotel or a privately owned condo?
A: Both, each of the condos are privately owned, however a management company called "Aqua" operates the front desk as a hotel. Hence the property is referred to as a "Condotel." Condo owners can elect to use the hotel front desk or book their own condo independently. Our six privately owned luxury suites currently use "Aqua" to book our condos.

Q: Are all of the rooms the same in this "Condotel."
A: No, the rooms vary in size and features as each individual condo owner can furnish his/her condo the way he/she chooses. There are 93 rooms in the "Condotel." There are only eight luxury "Suites." We own six of the eight luxury "Suites" in the building. We recently completely renovated our six with marble, granite, stone, teak doors and teak furniture with Bamboo accents for an upscale luxury tropical experience. They are spacious and gorgeous. Two of our "Suites" have an added feature of a huge 600 sq. ft. lanai with stunning mountain, city and partial ocean views.

Q: So do we book with you, the owner or with "Aqua," the management company?
A: Currently we use "Aqua" management to do our bookings. Our website link will take you directly to them. By booking with "Aqua" you will receive all of the hotel services that condo bookings do not provide. In the future we may revert to booking ourselves.

Q: Can we request one of your upscale luxury "Suites"?
A: Absolutely, we have the absolute nicest condos at the Bamboo. They are the most spacious and most upscale in the Bamboo Boutique Hotel & Spa. Please feel free to request one of our luxury condos when you contact 'Aqua." Tell them that the owners referred you through this site for special rates.

Q: How close is the Bamboo to Waikiki Beach?
A: The Bamboo is just one block to the "Duke" statue which defines the absolute heart of the famed Waikiki Beach which is the center of the beach activity.
